At the January
AGM I was delighted to take the office of Association
Chairman, and would like to thank my predecessor Major Lee
Byres, and the other officers for their hard work for the
Association, on all of our behalves. The web site is now into
its' sixth year and continues to make a good contribution to the
Associations way of life. I look forward to seeing the site grow
during my term in office, and encouraging former Artillery
personnel to contact us and hopefully join our ranks. The
Association is an independent organisation which is self
financing, self governing, and works closely with 101 (Northumbrian) Regiment
Royal Artillery (Volunteers). We presently have over 77 members made
up of serving and former Gunners from various Batteries, but we
also have members from the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Fleet Air
Arm, Royal Engineers, Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, Royal Signals,
Royal Military Police, and Royal Air Force.
I'm pleased
to announce the Association 25pdr Gun is now available for hire.
All enquiries must be in writing to the Secretary or Assistant
Secretary for discussion at the next Association meeting.
Please take your
time in viewing the site and lets us have your comments.
